RIDE FOR ONE HOUR AT RPE 6-7: Sure, you use sunscreen when you ride -- but do you put it where it will do the most good? In the bent-over cycling position, the tops of your ears, back of your neck, and tops of your arms and hands get the brunt of Old Sol. So be sure to smear on plenty of sunscreen (at least SPF 30) on these at-risk sites. And note the word "plenty" -- be generous with the stuff. A thin layer isn't that effective, even if it's SPF 50.
