Day 024 - Begin Rest Week

Today's workout: No Training        Training via ActiveMail

REST WEEK / DAY OFF / NO TRAINING. After 3 weeks of structured training is it time for a mental and physical break. This scheduled rest week is vital to your improvement. During this time your body will freshen up and have the chance to absorb the many benefits (adaptations) from the previous weeks of training. Remember, complete adaptation will only take place in the absence of work. So, resist the temptation to ride hard and not rest for the next 4-5 days. You will resume endurance level training on Friday and carry that through the weekend. So, rest up and enjoy the break, you've earned it.
