RIDE FOR ONE HOUR AT RPE 6: If you're doing a multi-day tour, it's hard to pack enough cycling clothes to last for several days. Expensive, too! The answer is to wash out your shorts and jersey in the motel sink after each day's ride. They'll dry faster if you wring out the excess water. But if you just wring your clothes by hand, it'll shorten the life of the fabric. Instead, use the bath towel technique -- put a towel flat on the floor, spread your clothes out on the towel, and roll it up into a long tube. Put your foot on the end of the tube and twist the towel as hard as possible. Now spread your cycling clothes out over a chair and they'll dry overnight.
