Day 006 - Why shoes are important

IT'S A REST DAY: Okay, we keep harping on the importance of good shoes; but why exactly are they so important? Well, you've embarked on a walking program that involves bearing your weight on your feet. Your feet are controlled to some extent by your shoes. So one way to prevent injuries is to make sure your shoes provide adequate cushioning and support for your feet. That's why we keep saying that your shoes should be the equipment you invest in. Don't just look for the older shoes that are on sale, or the brightly colored pair that matches your outfit!
