Day 050 - Distance free swim

IT'S WEEK 8 OF YOUR TRIATHLON TRAINING SCHEDULE: This schedule is geared toward your competing in another triathlon three weeks from now. However, of course you can just follow the schedule to build fitness and strength without doing a race at that specific time. This is week 3 of Cycle II of your training. It's your biggest week so far, and the intensity is going up too. Your total workout time for this week will be 9 hours. YOUR WORKOUT: SWIM: DISTANCE FREESTYLE: SET 1: (1) 3 x 100 (swim/kick). (2) 4 x 75 (swim/kick/swim). (3) 5 x 50 (swim/kick). (4) 6 x 25 (swim). Rest 10" after each swim. SET 2: (1) 4 x 100. (2) 1 x 400. (3) 5 x 100. (4) 1 x 500. Rest 10" after each 100. Add up your combined 100's at beat time on the straight swims (the 400 and the 500). Pulling is optional. SET 3: 6 x 50. Rest 15" after each 50. Go for the best possible average time. Your total distance for today is 3000 yards/meters.
