I'm looking for some good shoes. I am 6'3'', shoe size 13.5 - 14 wide and i'm flat footed with orthotics. I exercise every day, from light jogging to walking around. My current shoes are crappy NB shoes that hurt my shines when I start jogging and I can't afford to injure my shines or ankles. Any suggestions?

I'm 6'5 and have 13 shoes, the most comfortable ones I've found were probably (believe it or not) Vans skating shoes, try them on and see if you like them

Skechers work just fine for me. No blisters on the feet and good padding on the sole. You need to be careful with sports footwear. Some shoes are a hiking type sneaker that has not as much padding at the sole and blister like hell if you run or treadmill with them. Skechers wwork great for me--got two pair (one for home and one for office gym)--no blisters at all and I've done 500 miles on office and home treadmills since January 1st.

well i would personally suggest a lower top shoe for more manuverabilty or higher top shoe for more stability.as for the shins,i think the problem may be shin splints and occur in big people sometimes when they run.this is usually due to an imbalance in the muscle mass in the front and back of the calf. you can easily find exercises for this at most health websites.

SAS shoes... they make mens now and are old fashion looking but they specialize in comfort. They are a true walking shoe. I guess the company has been around since the 70's and run off total word of mouth and is the most recommended by podiatrists. My mother is a Registered Nurse and a bit over weight, she works 12-14 hours shifts (60 hours) these are the only shoes on the planet that don't kill her feet. I'm sure the mens are just as good. Also, since they are known for comfort they come in all sizes-large sizes- and different widths.. up to a 15 and every width from slim to triple wide -including wide and double wide-.

They make Converses in that size, bigger than that. Those old-school sneakers are actually extremely popular right now, and the plus is that they're quite comfortable too.Vans, Crocs, Sketchers, and I think some sports brands like Nike and New Balance also make extra large sizes.zappos.com also has a collection of big and wide sizes. Good luck!
