I've heard that it is just as good for you at losing weight, your thighs only get muscular (not fat!) if you do an excessive amount of cycling, which is unlikely as you aren't an athlete (or are you???!!). Try walking instead, apparently it's the best way to lose fat and you don't get injuries like you do from running.

cycling is not bad... just make sure you are doing a cardio routine instead of a muscle builder.I would recomend interval training. pedal as fast as you can for 45 seconds, then take a minute of pedaling slow to rest. keep this up, and you will be doing well. you can also walk quickly up an incline and that will help

Bicycling is fantastic exercise in terms of cardiovascular exercise. Exercise does not make fat, it reduces fat in target areas and will promote muscle and better overall health.

Cyling doesn`t make your thighs fat. It takes the fat of your legs and makes them more toned, which is good. I don`t think that cycling burns as many calories as running, but that dosen`t mean cycling is not a good workout. You have made the right start by eating healthy. That is very important. Its no problem that you don`t like running. The key thing now is to find something you enjoy. Stick with the cycling, and try and find a sport you like for an aerobic workout. If not then some exercise classes or videos are good.

try walking. believe it or not, it burns the same amount of calories as running but it doesn't condition your heart as well. The formula for work (measured in calories) is force (your weight) multiplied by time. Running or walking for the same amount of time burns the same amount of calories.w=fxdwork=force x distance
