I have been going to the gym for 6 weeks but I havent lost much weight at all. I want to lose the fat around my tummy as my body is out of propotion and I have what I think is a KG of pure fat around my tummy. (I have had 2 children so my tummy was flabby anyway but now it looks gross coz Ive put on weight). I have started to ride an exercise bike for 40 mins on a random setting that makes it hard, then easy, then abit harder, then abit easier etc... Will this help me to lose body fat or will it only build up my leg muscles? Thank you to everyone who offers answers... Smile

when you lost fat, its generally all over. not just in one portion of the body. weight lose is not just about working out, you hae to combine it with proper diet. You won't see result until around 3months of 6x a week exercise so you have to be patient. The simpliest work to be done is to drink water, lots of it.

Unfortunately you can't lose fat around one particular area.If you lose about 5kg, you will notice a reduction in the fat around your mid section, and you will probably have to lose about 10kg to get your desired results.Building muscles to get the "flat" look won't really do much, because you'll still have a layer of fat on top!You will lose weight through this, but slowly, do it for about six months to a year and you'll have lost the weight you wanted.

takes people 10-20 years to build up noticeably different size in body structure if they work on a particular area over lengthy amount of time you have no worries , just situps for 10-20 years and you'll get the shape you want Smile
