| It depends on your weight, but it should be close to 400 calories that you will burn. |

| It depends on several factors. The first is how much you weigh. A 200 pound man will burn more calories than a 110 pound woman simply due to him pulling all that extra weight around. It depends on how fast your metabolism works. The higher your metabolism, the faster you burn fat.It depends on what you've eaten that day. When burning energy your body goes for the easiest and quickest source possible, in this case it's what's in your system already. Once that's gone it goes for the next best source and so on. This is why experts will say you should only work out on an empty stomach, and it takes up to 20 minutes before getting into the "fat burning zone".It depends on how much you've trained your body up until now to burn fat. If you're just starting out your body wants to hold onto those fat stores you have so it will do everything in it's power to hold onto it. The more you work at it and the more you push yourself, the more fat you will burn. And finally it depends on how hard you push yourself. If you go flat out on uneven terrain with the wind in your face you're going to burn a lot more calories than if you take a leisurely ride on a flat surface with the wind at your back. So, taking all these factors into account, you'd burn somewhere between 400 and 1000 calories. |
