|
|
| I have a 2000 Nissan Altima SE manual transmisson with 125k miles on it. It seems like the engine is possibly overheating, or just a bad temperature gague. When I accelerate, midway through the acceleration cycle (around 3rd gear) the temperature needle goes very quickly up to the top line of the gauge then comes back down after about 5 seconds to the midway point. Has anyone experienced this problem? Or any suggestions on what it could be and possible remedies? Is there really an overheating problem, or is it just a faulty sensor or something? |

| The one thing that can kill that 2.4 KA motor is low coolant do not continue driving until you have the cooling system checked and repaired. DO NOT REMOVE the radatior cap when hot check the coolant when the engine is cold this morning. Fill with 50/50 antifreeze mixture and have the cooling system checked for leaks 9 year old car could need a water pump, thermostat or radatior replaced. |
