Global warming's going to submerge the planet? I don't think so. Not that I don't believe in Global Warming. I do. Ocean levels are rising, you can see it. But submergence doesn't happen overnight. A natural cycle, of deserts and melting pole caps, is followed by another cyclic Age of Ice. Maybe we are destroying the planet: we'll get what we deserve. But either way, catastrophe thins our herd. In a big, world wide disaster movie. Now's the time to take action! Everybody! Drop what you're doing and cooperate on a plan. A happy ending. What do you suppose are the odds? Considering that homo sapiens is lazy and ignorant. Could the energetic and brilliant come to the rescue? We'd all have to cooperate. By the billions. Ain't that a bitch? Let's face it, we've run up our numbers to the point where we don't have a lot of wiggle room. As the waters keep rising, a few hardy souls gather up survival gear and head for the Antarctic. Will any actually survive? Not if they hunt to extinction. Not if the bastards left to drown set off the nukes

I dont see myself as lazy and ignorant. Actually, I work quite hard... And no.. I have no interest in cooperating with someone who just called me lazy and ignorant... |

it is a slow process ,but nevertheless a lot of people have died suffered or lost everything because of related climatic happeningscheck this interactive globe http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/globalwarming/interactive/interac tive.html.Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation, desertification, soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture, over pumping carbon aquifersall concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AiaA9_uP2qeYnmOmlMCwh8bsy 6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080331024200AAtDrJL.WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .To exchange the one for the other means changing local climatesWe are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures. In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forestsThese Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification, loss of habitat for many species and so on.dryer and hotter surface environments which can manifest in different weather patterns such as tornadoes or bush firesI may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)And then on top of that comes the story of the effects of pollutants released into Nature and especially the Air ,by MAN , http://earthissues.multiply.com/photos/album/5/EMISSIONSA cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over themSo it is safe to assume that we should look at ourselves ,for possible improvements ,and rectifying Eco errors that are with in our powers. What is a safer betto be or not to be http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvIJn5oB9cg_lChjZhd47QPsy 6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080225165107AAnpsI2

Tim J is a jerk...Anyway, your pretty smart, but your not going to change anybody on yahoo. The masses are asses.Ever heard of that quote? No matter what is best or what is right, the masses of people will do what they want to.People don't complain about gas consumption until it hits their wallet. Nobody cares, because all the consequences of global warming aren't in their immediate future.Unfortunately, people won't stop global warming because it wont effect them for year and years. I can't think of a way that people emitting CO2 will cause people immediate consequences so I guess there really is no stopping it.

It's hard for people to cooperate on a plan when half the country is made up of Faux News clones and bumbling Bushbots that still think AGW is a vast, worldwide, highly orchestrated liberal scam.terry h:1 there hasn't been a period of global cooling over the past five years2 it's not even possible for sunspots to contribute more than about 40% of the warming. Every eleven years the sunspot count is zero. Basic logic says every eleven years the anomaly should disappear. It doesn't.

my opinion on global warming is it is pure nonsense. sure, the average temp has increased by a total of 1 degree throughout the 20th century. but there has actually been a global cooling over the past 5 years. the one major factor in climate change that all the wackos forget is the sun. the sun will sometimes have great explosions of solar storms and flares that heats up our entire galaxy. the earth is a wonderful place that will always heal itself over time. we give ourselves too much credit(or blame) for being able to control the earths climate changes which are a simple cycle of nature. relax everyone, dont trash your little part of the earth, but dont ask all of us to stop living out of fear. i say, drill a lot more oil, convert coal to fuel, build tons of nuclear plants, eat the fish you catch, replace the tree you cut down with seedlings, pick up your trash and let me live in peace!

We need to do this ............The Democratic Comprehensive Energy Plan To Lower Gasoline PricesThis is how we will do it. And this why we will do it.This country has so much under used industrial capacity in ourAuto Plants, Airplane Plants, Steel Plants and Electronics Plants tomake America Energy Independent in 2 to 5 years. We can build enoughwindmills and solar power and wave generation and geothermal energy plants toreplace 90% of all of the electricity generated by COAL and NATURALGAS.For $400 Billion we could build 400,000 windmills and provideelectricity for every home in America .And we would reduce carbon emmisions by at least 25%.The Coal and Natural Gas saved by Green Replaceable ElecrricalGeneration can now be used to make fuel for cars, trucks, busses, boats and airplanes, and or plastics, chemicals, fertilizers andpharmacuticals. We need a comprehensive plan that puts America back to work inendeavors that benefit 99% of America.Howard Scott PearlmanandTony Mullen

"Global warming's going to submerge the planet?"...Into what?...More space??!...Lol.My personal opinion is that I have no idea what's going to happen in the future regarding the earths climate. There could be an increase in flooding, more intense hurricanes, or a complete ice age. However, i'm not going to make any definate conclusions.

Global warming's the biggest, costliest, and most ludicrous scam ever. Lesser minds, however, tend not to agree.
