| Check out www.eastbay.com ...You're looking for walking shoes or cross trainers....if you put in the type of shoe you're looking for and then look through women's and men's...you can most likely find a pair around the 29-39 dollar range. The trick with this site is to always go to the last page...the prices go from highest to lowest automatically. If not that, then you'll have to hit your local sporting goods stores, everyone has walkers and cross trainers available...but the selection of sale shoes may not be as great.Good luck. |

| Depends if you are doing distance or power walking. For distance ie long hikes all day 5 miles plus try Merrel walking shoes. i got a pair last year for £60 which sounds a lot but my last pair lasted 10 years!. For power walking you need cross trainers so go to a sports shop and try on some styles til you find a pair that feel like they were made for you. Dont look at the price altho you dont have to spend a fortune, but in my experience theres no such thing as 'cheap' walking shoes. you ALWAYS live to regret them and end up buying more and usually more expensive at that. the best you can afford is worth it for the health of your feet, knees and back. |
