| So i've been in the gym for about 2 weeks, i mostly do a dance workout, pilates, yoga and sometimes run a bit. In the dance workout we jump a bit, and after a little while my ankles start to hurt. Yesterday i started to run and i had to stop because i felt pain in my ankles, so i decided just to walk. Also after i finish a class sometimes i feel some pain in my knees. Im just 22 years old, before entering the gym i didnt do much sports or any kind of exercise. What could it be the cause for my ankle pain, maybe the tennis shoes i wear or what? |

| You might have the wrong shoes for the type of workout you are doing. You can ice after your workout on the sore areas. Also don't forget to do a good warm-up and cool down when you do workout. Finally, don't forget the water before and after your trip to the gym. |

| If u r already active, as u say, u shud not face this problem. If not, continue with the actvities but at a reduced pace and things will settle down. |
