It's almost June and I haven't even been through a tank of gas yet. My back tire is showing thread all the way around from last years riding. I had a few deals on tire sets that fell through, then I had to spend money on getting my wife's bike worked on, and now I busted my knee so i couldn't ride if I wanted to. Cycle gear is having a great sale on Pirelli's Saturday and I'll get a set but I still can't ride till my knee heals. This sucks!By the way the chicken strip is because I put a 190 Shenko scuff on after a bad flat. It only had about 35% left on it when I put it on.

Yeah I hate it when I can't ride. I can feel the blood going through my veins every time I hear a rocket blowing through the gears. Some people will just never understand it. I hope you get well soon and back on two wheels safely!

I've got it worse than you. My bike is a Suzuki GT 750 that I bought new in 1973. It has been through several incarnations over the years and in currently in process of being put back together. It has to be rewired and rejetted for this altitude.I turned it into a cafe racer. It has been ported has expansion chambers 34mm racing carbs a read titan full fairing cycle west tank and seat thomaselli clip ons and homemade rearsets, the front brakes have been drilled and I added a fiberglass front fender. I have arthritis really bad now and cervical stenosis and many other physical problens. I sure miss riding and may only have 1 or 2 rides left in me. I got it started last year for the first time in 28 years (I got married) and rode it for 1 city block on 35 year old rock hard tires and with no brakes. Since then I bought new skins and had custom made brake lines and ordered everything else I need to put it back in rideable condition.

That sucks about your knee, I had broke both wrists in high school and only got to sneek in a few rides on my 4 wheeler. Really messed up a good summer. As far as the chicken strip I have a dual sport with knobby tires so anything past the chicken strip area on pavement is risky.

Gold Wing back on road 2 days ago after parked about 3 years- cancer treatment left legs a bit weak to hold up bike at lights. New tires, carb clean and exhaust, etc. get the saddle bags on next week, checkout rain-suit and run by gas stations selling 3.80-$4.00 gallon gas.
