| I'm about 5 ft, 6-7 inches tall, male, and I'm 185-190 lbs. I'm technically obese but just barely, (like literally .06 above the limit for overweight on the BMI). I don't really look fat and my friends don't think I'm fat but it's mostly because I wear dark and slimming clothes. I want to lose around 30 lbs by September. This week I started a new schedule. I used to eat around 2,500 calories a day with little to no excercise and while I wasn't gaining weight, I was already fat. Now, every morning, I cycle on an excercise bike for fifteen minutes, sweating, breathing hard, faster heart rate, etc. I tried jogging but I can barely get anywhere cause I'm so out of shape. Then I do 50 jumping jacks and 20 crunches. I'll increase the cycling time and number of jumps/crunches once I stop losing my breath from doing those. Also, I eat around 1,500 calories a day, snacking on chocolate protein bars, low fat yogurts, and eating salad and cereal with soy milk. Any tips to improve/get skinnier? |

| 1,500 calories is good start, Do special K cereal twice daily in place of other things. ALSO the subway "diet" really does work. If you have acess to a swimming pool that helps burn also. |

| I too am on a diet, and it works really well... I can only eat up to 20 fat grams and 1200 calories a day... I use an exercise bike for 30 minutes a day and take a walk for an hour at night... I don't jog because it only tires you out more, and causes arthritis in the hips and knees... I have been on this diet for a week now and I have already lost 2lbs... Maybe you should try it too... I know this diet works well because everyone I know who has tried it has had great results. If you do this, by the time it gets to August you should be at or below your goal weight... Good luck! |

| Eat well but only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. To have more satisfaction out of ur food, Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will also activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals. Do not go on fast or starvation diet.Nothing other than water in between. No special diet, call it by any name or program helps as one cannot adopt them on permanent basis. Diet pills are chemicals and per se bad and shud be avoided unless the doc considers it necessary looking at ur condition.Take light exercises and brisk walks for 30 min.regularly preferably on empty stomach and twice a day.U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time and hassle free. Be patient and not in a hurry. U cannot choose spots for reduction.This schedule can be adopted on permanent basis to lead a healthy life and maintain weight. |
