| I'm 5'9 and weigh 122 pounds. Is that a good weight to be for someone my height? People have told me that it's a good weight but others say that I should atleast be 125-130! Is it a good weight to be for my height or should I gain atleast like 5 more pounds. I'm not planning on doing any modeling of any sort. By the way I'm 16! |

Hi! According to shape.com's BMI (Body mass indicator) tool, you are "underweight", especially since your body is still growing a lot at the age of 16! You might want to consider amping up the calories, on healthy foods of course . Good luck and stay healthy!(Here's a link to the tool, if you're interested: http://www.shape.com/fitness_tools/bmi) |

| You are a little underweight - you can check the National Institute of Health's BMI calculator at http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ to confirm this. Don't worry too much about your weight at your age, though. You could stand to put on a few pounds, but please don't obsess about it.I have to say, it's really refreshing to see an underweight teenager who's not asking "OMG DO I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT?!?!1111"... I can't even count the number of questions like that I've seen lately.Just be proud of who you are!!! |

Everyone's body type is different, and if you're only 16 chances are you haven't hit your adult weight OR metabolism yet-- or you might just be one of those people who are naturally thin! You can check your BMI (body mass index) on the web, and that can tell you if you're at a good place or not.As long as you eat a balanced diet and exercise adequately I wouldn't worry.Even better: get real advice next time you have a physical with your physician ask her/him about your weight! |

| Well if you would like to gain weight, drink Boost. It's supposed to help you gain weight. Plus it doesnt make you gain a lot of weight, probably 5lbs depending how often you drink it and for how long. I used to have to drink it when I was your age. I was 5'1 at 95lbs. Plus it tastes really good! |
