Muscle weighs more than fat. Toning is simply an expression to say..you will lose fat and reveal a more muscular tight sexy body without all that fat.

Toning refers to a tightening and building of the muscle. Muscle is more condensed than fat, thus 5 lbs of muscle takes up less room than 5 lbs of fat. As muscle builds it burns fat. As you gain muscle you lose fat. Overall you may lose fat but weigh the same because you now have muscle in its place. The result is you will look thinner, healthier, and tighter. Here is an analogy: Take 5 lbs of rocks (muscle) and 5 lbs of foam (fat). The foam will take up a lot more space than the rocks. They each will weigh the same but you'll need a much bigger bag for the foam then you will for the rocks. In toning you are basically exchanging the foam for the rocks. As 2 lbs of foam turn into 2 lbs of rocks the total weight will still be ten lbs but the amount of space needed is reduced.Hope that helps.

Yes exactly. Muscle holds allot of water weight so your muscle expands. Hence the expression you will loose size not weight.
