Please help, my dad. He is the head of a science project and wont stop drinking diet cokes. I need like 5 websites that show studies and facts that diet cokes have aspartame and that it is bad for you! I also want him to take Nikken supplements, but he won't take them unless he sees evidence that vitamins help MS.

Darn , I'm with your Dad on this one..I also have MS and am a diet coke addict. I will agree that the aspartame is probably not good for anyone, but I do not believe that it is the cause of MS. As far as the vitamins, I think a good quality multi- vitamin is probably good for everyone.

Good luck. I had to go through so much to make my dad give up Diet coke as well. But if he loves you and cares enough to take care of his family and himself, he should give it up for you.

I know you worry and want to help, and that's sweet of you, but, sorry, I'm with your dad as well. The thing is that there are no scienficially valid studies that links aspartame to MS - and while D-vitamins might lessen the MS-risk to a child growing up in an area with low sun-light, there are to my knowledge no scientifically valid studies that proves that any supplements or diets help MS.Some of the holistic treatments suggested for MS can actually be very harmful to MS patients. I would say that if your dad is a scientist, then most likely he knows what he's talking about.
