I'm a 16 year old male, and about 111 pounds and am about 5 foot 4Ok, heres what I've had:Breakfast:Oats with milk2 slices of toast with peanut buttertea with sugar and milkBreak:I ate a few rice cakes (about 5) with nutellaAte a handful or two of muesliDinner:2 mashed potatosa few mini roastieschicken with pepper saucepeas and carrotsLow-fat yogurtEvening snack:Sandwich with chickenteaand I ate a few bags of oats (probably about 350 cals all together)2 rice cakes with nutellafew handfuls of muesli(yeah I was hungry )And I don't plan to eat anything moreI have also did about a 5 mile run and walked my dogs about a mile. Also did a 1 mile jogI plan to go cycling about 7 miles tonight as well at a reasonable pace uphill and downhill.I understand it can be hard to calculate it for a teenager such as me because I burn off LOADS of energy, but do you think this could cause a gain?Thank you I am an ex-anorexic and I am trying to get used to the idea of eating a lot and staying active, and just generally not caring.I think I have got there to be honest.I know rice cakes are low cal and stuff, but I DO love the taste :)Even more so with peanut butter or nutella.I am taking a multi-vitamin that has all my B-vitamins by the way |

You seem to have a great diet, and I would not change a thing... The 5 mile run in addition to the 7 mile cycling will prevent any weight gain... Meaning, the 5 mile run was about 800 calories, and the 7 mile cycling will be about another 800 calories as well...In short, you are very smart and are doing the right thing. By not restricing your caloric intake and basically eating a range of foods, you are giving your body the fuel it needs to build the perfect frame... Combining that with the exercise only makes it better. Finally, the only item you might want to look at would be a multi-vitamin... Other than that, your diet is ideal...Good Luck and I Hope this helps... |

| If I was trying to lose weight I would worry about the nutella which can be adding hundreds of calories with its fats and sugars. If your goal is to go up in weight you should drink some smoothies in the evening or ice-cream milk shakes. If your goal is to lose you ought to read what it says on the packages (bread, salad dressing, pepper sauce, muesli, etc) and keep a running total of roughly how much went inTo change your weight you need to recognize the difference between what you consumed and what you used up is the key to that change. Even a "trivial" amount of unneeded food takes a lot of exercise to get rid of its energy. |
