| Well im 19 years old, and i just bought a treadmill with a wireless chest strap that monitors my heart rate, on the manual it says a good heart rate for a 19 year old in the 'weight loss region' is between 119-150, so i setup up the treadmill at 140 so i dont go 2 low or 2 high, and i keep my heart rate at 140 for about an hour, yet i really dont get exhausted, dont get me wrong, i do get a good sweat out, but when i use to do my own workouts without monitoring my heart-rate, i use to finish my workout feeling like im about to collapse. also my treadmill is set at 140 so if it goes over, the machine slows down and vice versa, however throughout the workout process, i never really get up to a jog, but rather fast walking,(change in speed and incline). So do you think i should keep going at it, to lose the most amount of calories, or should i stuff the heart rate system and do my own workouts?please assist in any way?thank you |

| Generally when you do workouts or exercise then your heart rate become somewhat more than normal. It is not a worry factor, if your heart rate is more than the normal while exercising. So you do your workouts without worrying about heart rate. But if your heart rate increases so much that you feel uneasy, then take some rests. If this happens on regular basis, then visit the doctor. |
