I didn't plan a cheat day today it just happened. SadI started my diet on April 16th..I've been strict on it, and I've been walking at least an hour a day everyday.Today for breakfast I had a bowl of cereal, went to work and didn't eat anything.Came home for dinner had a lean cuisine and a salad. Then all of a sudden the people in my house made spaghetti, If I knew they would make that for dinner I wouldn't have ate my Lean Cuisine and salad...so I ended up eating 2 slices of garlic bread and 2 big plates of spaghetti. I feel awful.I'm scared about gaining weight back that I worked so hard this week to lose. it is now 7:30 and I'm scared. I think I will go out walking for an hour. advice?

One little oops should make a difference in the long run as long as you continue to exercise and eat right. Next time make sure you eat lunch so that you're not tempted by your house mate's food.

Any regime you indulge in has a "cheat day" allowance.Common practice is: every 12 days of discipline merits 1 cheat day.I was 310lbs. now I'm 165. It took me 2yrs. Believe me beating yourself up won't do the trick.Good Luck!

you will not gain weight today for eating spagetti or cheating on your diet, because you need 3500 calories to gain one pound. you can eat as much as you want, provide that you do enought physical activities to burn the excess calories. first of all cheating once a week is good, because other wise this whole weight loss thing would be boring and hard to keep forever without at least a little enjoyment, as long as you eat in moderation and not over doing it, than you are fine. for my diet i cheat once a week, and i always ask my self this question " is this extra food that i want worth one extra mile of jogging, if it is then i go for it, if i dont think it is worth it I put the plate down and settle for something else. and dont forget to add some weigth training to your regiment because weight loss is a three way street, cardio, weight training and dieting.
