| I have been on Weight Watcher now for around a year. I had lost 35 lbs. I substained that weight for quite some time. I decided to lose more weight, and again did weight watchers. I lost another 13 lbs, and held that for a few months. The new year came and I wanted to lose only 10 more lbs, and kept the same diet going. I noticed I wasn't losing the first two weeks. I thought it was a plataou so I just waited it out. Eventually I began to gain. I did all the things I was told to get over this 'plataou' (change diet up, excercise differently, etc.) and I still gained. I went back to my first plan of Weight Watchers, and I excercised and ate better than I had in a long time. I now have gained back all the 13 lbs I had worked so hard to lose. I began these two weeks of weight lifting aerobics, do you gain weight before you lose?Nobody notices any weight gain, and my measurements have hardly budged. They say it could be muscle IF so, will I never lose weight again and just put on more? |

| I recently joined a gym and my starting weight was 220 lbs. I was working exceptionally hard and was getting frustrated because I did not lose a single pound for the first month and a half. I brought it up to the personal trainer at the gym and he retested my body fat, It turns out my body fat percentage fell seven points from 28 to 21. You should get your body fat percentage checked and I bet you too will find that you have actually traded fat for muscle. Good luck. |

| Its probably muscle (muscle weighs more than fat), So maybe you're noticing that you look more tone in some areas which is great. Maybe you need to focus more on inches and tone than you do on an actual number. But back to your question, it depends on your BMI. If you've lost so much weight that you have a low BMI, you may not have enough fat left to burn to constitute a weight loss, in which case you'll probably just tone, which like i said is great because no one wants to be flabby. If you still have a decent amount of fat on you (higher BMI) then you'll lose weight eventually. I recommend more cardio, maybe a higher impact. |
