|
|
| I eat very healthy. No meat. Hardly any sugar. And hardly ever any junk food. I gained a LOT of weight while I was pregnant due to preeclampsia. Now I have the chance to lose it. But where to start? What things can I do without leaving the home (can't take my baby out either she was very early)? What diet and workout plan can I stick to? One that would hopefully show improvement within 3 months, so I can enjoy my birthday more.I do watch my caloire intake. I eat several small meals as well.Reasons I cannot leave:I can't drive. I have mild xenophobia due to an event, so unless I am with someone, usually my husband, I don't leave. Plus my baby is unable to. Y-Y As much as I would love to go for walks outside, my husband is gone until it is too dark to. |

| The key to weight loss and maintenance is calories. You may be eating healthy, but if the calories are adding up, you will not lose weight.I recommend you check thedailyplate.com. It's a site which makes it easy to keep track of how many calories you are eating a day, and how much is fat, protein, carbs, etc.Since I started using it, I've completely changed the way I eat. You can figure out how much you need to eat to lose weight each week.Since you can't go out, you should try a workout video. I love the Tae Bo videos, or Zumba. There are many different kinds available. You can do a half hour workout while you baby is sleeping in the next room. Walking every day for 30 minutes is also great. It will take time for your body to get back to where it was, but if you eat healthy, watch calories, and be active every day, it will start coming off. |

| She said without leaving the home you idiot. Anyways I recommend picking up one of those exercise ball/ dvd packages from wal-mart or something. You can work out at home with them and tone up. |

| Stay away from processed foods. When you feel like a snack dive into the fruit. Try eating proteins and carbs seperately.Skipping is a simple but effect means of exercise that many boxers use, that you can do at home. I know you said you can't get out, ...but if you have access to a pool swim 2-3 times a week between 1-2km a time. You will loose and tone very fast. Trust me.Best of luck... |

| The most important thing to remember when it comes to losing weight is that YOU MUST BURN MORE CALORIES THAN YOU CONSUME.Get yourself a decent diet sorted first. Don't be too strict though. Remember that 'fat' does not make you 'fat', it just contains more calories per gram (9), where as protein and carbohydrates contain 4 grams each. I would eat carbohydrates on the low glycemic index such as wholemeal pasta, bread, rice, etc as these are less likely to be stored as fat. I would also eat more foods high in protein. You should then get yourself an exercise video and work out 3-5 days a week.An important thing is to measure yourself every week, so you know if you are actually losing the weight. If your not you should adjust your diet or exercise program. |
