| I currently weigh 150 with shoes and light clothes and i am 5'11 and have 8% body fat.I am training to be a running back and am in an extreme weight and running program/s, but I am having a very hard time gaining weight.I lift 5 days a week, Run 4 days a week.My diet consists of health food and protien shakes( 2 a day )with milk and after my workouts muscletechs halo but,This has not result in the mass gains i need.Does anyone have any advice on a better way to gain wieght?A good protien shake?Any help on me gaining wieght would be appreciated~! |

| There's no easy answer to this question. Most research seems to show that muscle gain comes in spurts and is heavily tied to your genetics. I personally have known people who hit their upper limit on muscle growth and would work two years without adding more than a few pounds of weight (definitely muscle, since they had a low body fat like yourself).You have the diet down. The links below provide some reading for you if you're interested. One is about eating dairy more to gain muscle, the other is an article by a well known trainer about muscle gain. Good luck! |
