I have about 20 pounds to lose... I'd like to lose them by the end of June, if I can, but really the goal is to be more healthy. I'm a pre-med student, so with finals I won't be able to exercise for about a month yet (most of the time I spend not writing papers is time I SHOULD be spending writing papers). But I do plan on swimming very religiously, since I've lost weight before by swimming, and I love to do it.I was wondering if doing a food journal has helped people. I've lost 10 pounds (I gained the weight while on depo provera), but I need to get re-inspired to lose the last 20. Think it would help?

it would. cause you will feel proud when you can write about healthy foods and lots of exercise, but if you are about to eat donuts or something, you will be like "well im gonna have to writer about this in my journal" so it might encourage you not to.

I require all my clients to do food journals. Food journals will throw up warning flags to any bad habits you may have, they can also help save money. Definitely a great idea. Also, swimming is a GREAT choice for burning the weight. If you swam 10-20 min. a day and ate a balanced diet with a solid breakfast you'd be almost there.
