I'm 15, female, around 5ft 3 and about 9 stone (126 pounds i think? not sure - im not american lol) i'm not old enough to use the weights and stuff at my local gym but i can use:> Treadmill> Bike> Rowing Machine> Floating machine (?) - you move your feet to maintain a "floating position"> Another arm thing - you move them like you move your legs when you cycle> that toher thing where you kinda run and you hold on and move your arms at the same time ? sorry i'm really rubbish at the names... lolI want to improve my fitness and lose around 3-5 pounds but mainly just work on fitness and tone up and spend around an hour twice a weekhelp with a gym plan pleaseee? i don't really know what to do when..i want to tone up and stuff for summer - around august/ middle of august - im doing callanetics twice a week too.

Well you can't really tone up without using weights, but by doing cardio you will burn fat which will reveal muscle you already have. However, I do think that the rowing machine will help work muscles in your back, arms and legs (thighs and calfs). From the fitness magazines I've read they recommend at least 30 mins and they also recommend doing several different types of exercise so your body doesn't fall into a rut because it gets used to it.Try a workout like this (or just any 3 different activies for 10 minutes):10 minutes on the running machine10 minutes on the bike10 minutes on the rowing machine.I do something similar at the gym and this allows me to rest in between and not over do it. Over time you can increase how long you're on the machines when your fitness improves. Also remember that diet is key to losing weight. You don't have to suddenly go on a major diet, but sometimes swapping things you use every day to low fat versions or lighter versions really makes a difference.Try diet soda instead of regular soda.Switch full fat mayo for mustard, or a lighter version.Season your food with spices and herbs, rather then sauces.Edit: I'd also like to add that to tone up it's best to use lighter weights for more repitions. To gain actual muscle you use heavier weights, but less reps.Since you don't have access to weights, you can just use bottles of water or cans of soup. They may feel light, but after a big number of lifts you can feel an effect. I hope this makes sense.
