|
|
| I stopped drinking milk and I lost 10lbs in a month. Now I get calcium from veggies, low fat cheeses, and a daily vitamin. I drink an accessive amount of diet coke, anywhere from 32oz-84oz a day. I'm wondering if I stop drinking diet coke and drink lots of water instead if this will at all affect my weight. Also, all I do activity wise (besides caring for 13 toddlers eight hours a day) is I walk 2-4 miles additionally after work. How can I up the anty just a bit to make this weight loss a bit more speedy? |

| You should drink milk - you need it. Diet coke will affect your weight really only in water weight and with the sodium it has it will retain a lot of water. It may damage your organs if you drink so much that you are ingesting WAY too much sodium as well [about 2500mg/day is avg] |

| Not only does diet soda effect your weight, it makes you crave other sugars, and the artificial sweetener isn't healthy. |

| To be honest it has been proven that diet drinksaren't that healthy either. I find them rather crudebut meh go for what you know. First think about whyyou drink them in the first place, if it's only because youlike them for flavor then there are alot of better things to drink, better in taste and flavor as well as health. |

| You drink alot of soda. If you wanna loose weight, ditching the soda would help. And replaceing it with water would be even better! there is alot of sugar in water and if you dont burn it off it stores as fat. But to loose weight, i dont know what you are already doing, but i would just lower your meal portions. so instead of eating a plate of spagetti that you would normally eat, leave about 1/4 of it on your plate. But if you can, loose the soda! |

| Research shows that artificial sweeteners cause your body to anticipate sugar and when it does not get it, it increases your cravings. Also there is a lot of salt in diet soda which can cause bloat. I would recommend cutting back slowly and increasing water. Also, there is a lot of benefit to weight training a few times a week, which increases your metabolism. Get someone to help you learn the right way so you don't hurt yourself. |

| Because there are no calories in diet pop, it's thought to be good, but the caffeine is where it gets you. Caffeine isn't healthy, and only a small serving of it is recommended each day. Cut down on your pop intake slowly and replace it with water. Going cold turkey will just cause headaches and lead you right back to where you were. You should be getting 64 ounces of water a day. With this much water, there's not much room left for pop! Also, loosing more than 2 pounds per week decreases your chances of keeping the weight off, so just keep doing what your doing. |
