I really hate fish, and most meats. I'm trying really hard to lose weight and its just not working. I started weight watchers 9 weeks ago. I lost 7lbs the first 2 weeks but since then I've gained 2lbs back and havnt been able to lose. I follow the diet like its the law, and its just not working for me. I read an article that said that eating foods like tuna and salmon are good for the metabolism and aid in weight loss because they contain good omega-3 fats.I LOVE avacados, I know that they're high in fat though.. do thise contain the same type of fat?

There are supplemental pills on the market that provide omega-3, if you're specifically after that. However, I would suggest a regular exercise regimen paired with dietary changes, if losing weight is your overall goal.

Avocados, nuts and seeds contain the same omega 3 and healthy oils. Walnuts in particular are a great source. X

Omega 3s really don't help at all in weight loss. In fact, Omega 3 is a type of good fatty acid. You really need to just up your exercise and try not to take in too many calories. A good tip is to try to cut back on 500 calories a day and you can do that half by burning it off through exercise and the other by cutting something out of your day's intake of food. If you do this for a week you'll lose a pound of fat. Fat loss that is any faster than that is just an invitation to pile it back on again.
