I am concerned about my weight. I started stealing diet pills from my grandmother and started cutting certain foods out of my diet. I am 5'4" and weigh 122 lbs. I think I could stand to lose some weight, but all my friends swear that I am a healthy, skinny, normal girl. They all say that I should stop what I'm doing. I beg to differ. I look in the mirror and see a fatty and I wish that I could be skinny and weigh 100 lbs like the other girls. So what I want to know is: Do you think I have a problem (like my friends do)? And what's the harm?

You weight in comparison looks really good right now. If you lost more weight you might see bones and that is not attractive to most people. The harm in too many diet pills or loosing too much weight is that you can die of heart failure because you body isn't getting the proteins and nutrients it needs to survive. Your body image and actions of stealing may lean you toward eating disorder. See a specialist-psychologist, psychiatrist- or maybe just you family general practitioner, one of those people can tell you for sure.

You shouldn't do anything at this point. Average for you is around 120, assuming you are 14. if you are a lil over or under, it doesn't vary much. Also assuming you are a teen, it is quite normal for you to go through this stage. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your weight. Your friends are right in saying you are healthy and normal. You should stop taking diet pills too, as they can actually make you worse. And to be honest, if this is a matter of appearance for the opposite sex, most guys do not like very skinny girls. Most like girls who have some 'meat on their bones' so to speak as it is nice to feel soft skin rather than hard bones when they touch your waist or hug you. Plus, your body needs fat on it to work properly. Haha, it also helps during the winter =P Could you speficy your age, or possibly post a picture of how you look currently? There are many people on this site who specialize in these kinds of questions and can tell you for a fact if your body is healthy and in proper shape, weight speaking.

You shouln't take diet pills because they're really bad for you, I started taking diet pills at a very yung age and all it did was make me feel tired and sick. Don't try to lose weight just to be like your friends, just be you. It also depends on your height I'm 5'6" and I should weigh 130-135 lbs. but I'm not skinny at all in fact I am really overweight but I'm not trying to lose weight to look like any one else I want to lose weight to be healthy. But you have to consider your height, and don't do it just to be like the other girls. Don't do anything that's gonna make you sick and unhealthy....try to work out and eat healthy and you'll see results the good way.
