I'm so sorry to hear about your baby. But to lose weight, you should do lots of cardio like jogging or using a treadmill/bicycle.

First of all I'm sorry to hear about losing your baby. Yes you can get back to 150 or less. Diet pills don't work. What you should do is eat good healthful foods, such as fruit, veggies, fish, chicken, whole wheat bread, yogurt, etc. Don't drink sodas or eat sweets or junk food. You also need to exercise. I suggest joining a gym. If not, do some jogging or walking every day. Good luck.

Yes, diet pills will work for about 10 days, then no matter how little you eat, all the weight will be back on, and more, within a month. You could easily loose 20lbs of "baby fat" by June if you start doing 45-60 min of cardio every morning, before breakfast, 5days a week.

Rule of thumb for weight loss: Diet= 70% exercise= 30%Great 7 step plan to follow for LASTING and healthy results (My sources are I've been a world-class athlete since age 6, read tons about this for years including Gunnar Peterson's book The Workout [he's trainer to A list celebrities] and Tony Robbin's "The Body You Deserve" and after educating my brother, he lost 45 pounds in 4 months and has kept it off for 1.5 years):1. Awareness of what you eat by keeping a diet journal to see where ure going wrong plus writing down very specific goals w/a time frame on them (be realistic yet firm) and view them on a regular basis. Also- tell someone about your progress toward your goals on a regular basis- this will keep you accountable. I have an excel spreadsheet that lists all my goals and my weekly progress toward them and I share them with my boyfriend each week so we can discuss it. Choose someone encouraging and motivating that wants to see you succeed. Family and best friends are great choices.2. Best cardio is running in terms of weight loss. It is however, very high-impact and can lead to injuries. If you get injured- 2nd best is rowing, 3rd is cycling (both of which are less impact). You should be doing cardio minimum 4 times a week 30min.-1 hr. Weight loss heart rate range is one where you can carry on a conversation w/o a big struggle.3. Resistance program to help firm muscles and give a pretty tone (u can't spot-reduce- weight training results per individual body part will only be visible after the fat layer is off from the cardio). You should do this 2-3 times a week for 30 min-1 hr each time. It's important to have that break in between so your muscles can rest. Remember- each muscle gained= more calories lost on a daily basis b/c this revs up your metabolism! Jessica Biel is a great model for a muscular gorgeous body. Look at a picture of her and visualize your face on her body. The mind's thoughts literally create your reality and destiny. This has been proven over the centuries.4. 3 meals/2snacks per day: high fiber/ high protein helps keep you full and eat low carb unless its good complex carbs like salad and fruit and whole-grains. Bottom line: eat the natural foods our ancestors ate, no processed junk. The best foods for you are filled with FIBER (shoot for 35 gms a day- this will curb cravings like heck!) Anna Kournikova eats a fruit and has a glass of water 30 min before her meals to be fuller and eat less (you should always do this, esp b4 going out to eat where temptations are large). When you eat great, nutrient-packed foods, you dont need to obsess over counting calories- so many better things to occupy your time with, like reading! A clever mind will take you farther in life than a beautiful body Bottom line- keep perspective and don't let this consume you to the point of being OCD. Also, no diet sodas- the fake sugars actually make ure body crave more sugary stuff. Stick to tea (coffee makes your body crash and can increase appetite) and water and never bring bad foods into your house. A woman should never go under 1200 cals a day by the way, slightly more for a man...very unhealthy. Breakfast= eat like a king, Lunch= eat like a prince, and Dinner= eat like a pauper. Lastly, take a multivitamin each day...go to Whole Foods and ask them which is a really high-quality one, b/c it's not just taking a MV but the better ones dont cheat you on the grams and your body absorbs the vitamins/minerals best. Ask what is a good daily regimen for your gender, but don't let them oversell you. The most you should need is a multi and maybe fish oils.5. Americans in general want things QUICK and easy, we are impatient- you must be patient in terms of your results and never give up. Additionally, this is a LIFESTYLE change for LIFE: There are NOOO get-thin quick schemes, PERIOD. If u abuse your body u will ruin your metabolism and in the future u will gain weight MUCH easier than today. Diet pills will kill you as quickly as they helped kill Anna Nicole Smith. They are no better than drugs so don't take the cheap lazy way out.6. Weigh yourself once a week, never more often than that but get all measurements- waist circumference, body fat %, muscle %, water % (there are good digital scales that do this) b/c u could be gaining muscle which weighs more than fat or be full of water and be like- why the heck wont i lose weight! and then binge on donuts no no no! and reward yourself when you make progress! make it fun or else you'll quit sooner than later.7. Drink min. 2 liters of water per day (more for men) and whenever you're stressed- take DEEP BREATHS rather than reaching for food. Breathe in this ratio: Inhale for 5 counts, hold for 20 counts, exhale for 10 counts. If you do 10 of these 3x/day you'll be releasing toxins, decreasing appetite, & your energy and vitality will boom. This is why people lose weight doing yoga which on its own doesnt lose many calories. Oxygen is so so important. You can do it! Good luck, keep a positive attitude, and never give up! |

Sorry to hear about your loss. It depends on your will power and how much weight you plan on losing to whether you can reach your goal by summer. Generally speaking you can safely lose up to 2lbs per week with proper diet and exercise. The two major keys to weight loss is proper eating and exercise, any diet pills and supplements should only be secondary after you fix your eating habits and exercising, because if you just rely on the pills once you stop using them without learning proper health habits you'll just gain all the weight back.Diet:First you should eat every three hours. Constantly eating boost your metabolism. If you skip meals your body goes into "starvation" mode since it doesn't know when it will be fed next whenever you do eat it stores extra fat. Also try not to eat late at night try to eat dinner by 7pm definitely no later than 9pm. This is what I hear from many people and my kickboxing coach and also my kickboxing book. "We've asked you to eat five times a day- don't fret. You won't gain fat, especially if you know a thing or two about basic nutrition. Remember that eating every three to four hours revs your metabolism, which is one way your body burns calories." - The Complete Idiot's Guide to Kickboxing by Karon Karter and Guy Mezger.Heres what the schedule should look like7am Breakfast10am Snack1pm Lunch4pm Snack7pm Dinner9-10pm Light Snack if still hungry. Or you can eat it right after your Dinner. Now as for what you should eat for these snacks and meals I'll leave up to you here are some good ideas you can mix and match these meal items to create your own diet.Breakfast:1)Cereal with Low fat milk. Something like Special K, Cheerios, or Frosted Wheats.2)Oatmeal3)A few slices of turkey bacon, couple pancakes or few pieces of toast, a piece of fruit-A glass of 100% Juice. Usually the cheapest pure juice is apple or orange.Lunch:1)A sandwich take your pick ham, turkey, chick, beef, pb and j, just try to avoid too much mustard, mayo, or any other sauce. Slap on some low fat cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or whatever veggie you like and enjoy. Oh yeah try wheat bread its a lot better for you.2)Also the same as making a sandwich buy a sub from Subway. You can eat the sandwich with a "Grab" size bag of baked chips.Dinner:1)Grilled or baked chicken breast or fish fillets seasoned it how you please. Remove the skin do not bread the chicken or fish, fry it, or add too much salt to it. Sides: Your choice of veggies: I personally love either corn or steamed broccoli. One baked potato avoid sour cream, adding a lot of butter, bacon bits. Try to keep it as close to a plain potato as possible. Or one potato chopped up and roasted with herbs is good too.2)Homemade Hard or Soft Tacos: Use ground turkey instead of ground beef(if you do decide to use beef use lean beef), Romaine or Green Leaf Lettuce(healthier than Iceberg), Tomatoes, 2% Milk Shredded Cheddar Cheese, Topped with salsa is you like, wrap in preferably corn tortilla (corn is slightly better than flour, but flour is ok) or place in taco shells.3)Grilled Hamburgers:Like before use ground turkey if not at least lean beef. Grill over charcoal it adds great flavor to the meat along with dripping off extra fat/grease if you dont not have a charcoal grill or time to grill look into getting an inside grill such as a George Foreman Grill though you do not have the same add taste from the charcoals you will still benefit from extra fats dripping off the meat. Use whole wheat buns. 2% milk cheese, and the extra veggie toppings you may like. Add additional condiments sparingly if at all. What good are hamburgers without french fries, huh? To avoid cook fries in a healthier way try frying them in olive oil(olive oil is pretty expensive though compared to corn/vegetable oil) or bake the fries in the oven. Place in a pan and use only a little vegetable oil to prevent fries from sticking and set oven to broil turning over when the fries are golden brown. The fries will be healthier than deep frying them and still have that crunchy crispy fried taste.4)Big salad with grilled chicken. Watch the salad dressing that usually screws people up.5)I'm not a big fan of red meat but you can eat it every so often, try to get lean beef or pork and go for grilling or baking it similar to the chicken and fish. Serve with your sides of veggies you like.Snacks:1)1-2 servings of fruit or veggies. Celery, Apples, Bananas, Raisins, just to name a few.2)Handful of nuts lightly salted.(My favorite cashews)3)Grab size bag of baked chips4)2 oatmeal cookies(iced or raisin are fine too)5)1 bag of 100 calorie snacks. They come in snacks flavors like Oreos.6)My favorite: a fruit smoothie. 7)Yogurt8)Small salad9)Air popped popcorn is actually pretty good for you. Its not until you add the butter and salt that its becomes unhealthy.10)Granola bar.Drinks-You need to drink at least 8 glasses of water throughout the day.-Try to drink one cup of white or green tea for me. I personally like Snapple's White Tea infused with Strawberry you can buy the packages and brew at home within minutes-I know if you have the urge how hard it is to cut out all bad foods from your diet so for dinner you can have one diet soda or glass of crystal light-Try to drink only 100% juice many "juices" out there are only about 20% real juice. Even then drink sparingly because many juices have a lot of sugar regardless.(You may want to try reduce sugar juices)Exercise: Try to do something you think is fun anything you enjoy doing. That will make exercising more fun and you'll be less likely to bail out on working out. So if there is a sport you enjoy go for that, you are interested in martial arts try kickboxing, or of course you can still with the treadmill or join a gym. Just get movin'. I gave my mom The Biggest Loser Workout: Cardio Max and she enjoyed it and lost weight , also some pretty good workout DVDs are Turbo Jam, Hiphop Abs, Carmen Electra Striptease Aerobics, Women's Health: The Wedding Workout, and Billy Blanks Bootcamp.
