I don't want to set myself up for more disappointment here. I stopped taking the pill and have just started my second cycle today since I stopped. I read somewhere that of course you can become pregnant as soon as you stop taking the pill, but on average you have to wait at least 3 months or more. I dont want to wait any longer. I wish I could become pregnant asap.... I am 29 and trying to conceive for the first time. Somehow I am worried that my fertility has decreased a bit already, which they say it can. How can I not worry so much about stuff and to avoid disappointment? Each time between my cycles I was really gearing my thoughts toward being pregnant, only to end in disappointment when that first day of my period arrives. Yesterday I was already starting to feel confident that I might be pregnant, because the previous period started on a Thursday, and while on the pill I was always so dead on regular. Of course I guess I am not any more.

You need to stop stressing over whether or not you are pregnant. The stress will NOT help you reach your goal, instead it will make it MORE difficult to become pregnant. Try using the mindframe that you will get pregnant when it is meant to be. I know it is easier said than done, but you are only given what you can handle.

The funny thing about worrying is that it can keep you from getting pregnant. Many women conceive when they just give up and forget about it. The best thing you can do is to keep track of your fertile days but try not to obsess about it. This can be hard but it's the best way to assure getting pregnant.

there is an herb called vitex. it is wonderful. it actually helps restore the hormonal balances lost by taking birth control. it is relatively cheap and doesn't really have any side effects. i am so sensitive to hormones....they affect my emotions....and i had no problems with the vitex. it helps you ovulate again...which is what may be missing after stoping birth control. some people say that they have some light spotting after starting it but it quickly goes away. as you research herbals looking up vitex...i would advise against evening prime rose oil. it can cause uterine contractions, miscarriages and breakthrough bleeding...good luck!! Don't set any expectations, then you won't be let down. If you expect it and not get it, that's why you get disappointed. If you don't expect anything and if it happens, then you'll be pleasantly surprised.
