What are the best kind of shoes for step class? (Aerobics)?

I have been told running shoes don't provide enough lateral support for side to side movement, but what are the best kind of shoes to wear for step class (Aerobics where you step on and off a box)? There is a lot of jumping, bouncing, and impact when I step. No salesperson at the shoe stores I have gone to can offer me much advice. Anyone know of an appropriate brand/type of shoe available? I usually have very good luck with them advising me on proper shoes for whatever activity I am going to be engaged in. Back to top
