I need help! So I've been on this diet for a month and a half... eating very healthy, watching portion control and following a program that is offered here in town. I am excersising about 4 days a week with running, pilates and swimming. I have only lost about 7-8 lbs but have lost overall 6inches. I feel like the scale is stuck and although I know muscle ways more than fat.. Im feeling like something is wrong or that Im doing something not right to help this process along. My question is if according to my BMI I am supposed to intake 2600 calories perday to maintain weight ... what should I be consuming to loose weight... I wonder if I am consuming too little and therefore putting myself into starvation mode and keeping me at a plateau? Im so frustrated. Any advice in regards to the calories would be greatly appreciated

No less then 1500 calories a day and on the days you workout you will need a few more. If you are strenght training then adding a little more protien to your diet should help you to build muscle and that will up the calorie burn. Good luck

To lose weight but still keep up energy you should be consuming about 1200 calories a day ...divided into several small meals. To get past this weight loss plateau of yours... add some intensity to your workouts.... short bursts of sprinting throughout a run should really help... Make sure you are changing your routine every 4 weeks so your body doesnt get used to your workout.... even adding 5-10 minutes will help this.

If you are trying to loose weight than my opinion is that you stop eating meat. That or lessen your intake of it. Meat is the worse thing you can eat on this planet. I also suggest Boca (Imitation meat) if pulling yourself away from meat is too hard. And vegtables are also essential. Eat a lot of fruit and veggies. They have all of the protein that you need without all of those icky calories that you would get from meat.
