eliminate the chips and grilled cheese.if you do want to eat chips however, go for the organic baked pita chips or something.if you don't want to give up your grilled cheese either, use whole wheat bread (never white!) and low fat cheese. Do NOT grill in butter or oil!cut back on the cookies and cakes too! good luck!

Im unclear, are you a vegatarian to lose weight? If this is the case my I advise another diet?I am a vegetarian and have found cutting out meat & fish has by no extent made me lose weight, if anything the substitution & craving of foods such as bread and cheese has caused me to gain weight. If you are a vegetarian but would like an additional food scheme, i would suggest cutting back on bread & yeast as they cause the stomach to bloat. However, if trying to lose weight it is not advisory to cut Out a food group as statistics show these plans are less effective, and more people give in to foods they are banning.Good Luck! and I hope being a veggie works out 4 you!

It's important that you get enough Calcium, Protein, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin A, as vegetarian diets usually lack these. I'd say get lots of milk, cheese, yogurt, tofu, and nuts if possible. At your age, your body is still growing, and needs the extra fat and nutrients, so I wouldn't be concerned about acutally losing weight. It's good to focus of eating healthy and exercising as life habits! Check out this website for ideas, you can plug in your info and get a food pyramid or type in Vegetarian diet in the search box.

Well, you're not too young! And you're off to a great start! Congratulations. The mountains of NC are not high enough to affect your ability to exercise. I pedalled a bicycle over a 10,000 ft pass not long ago. You're no higher than about 4000 ft.Calorie management and exercise are the key to weight control and good health. If you haven't already done so, educate yourself about such. Will give you a better chance to select what you eat, and satisfy your "cravings" at the same time. The links will help you get started. And I just bet you'll look great this summer in that bathing suit!

The source of the weight gain is the cheese and the bread. The cheese adds alot of fat if it is not non-fat or reduce fat and the bread probably has high fructose corn syrup making it a high glymic index food which will add weight to your body. Watch out for processes foods. Food that have high fructose corn syrup are a dead give away in that the glymic index will be high, causing a high insulin response to suppress sugar absorption which the body stores as fat. Try to eat more foods that are closer to their natural state than processed foods. Keep bread to a basic minimum or not at all (I know its hard). Make sure you are getting your protein from pulses like beans and lentils and mixing them with grains like rice. Quinoa is a good grain that is high in protein and a grain that does not load your system with sugar. Soft drinks are a no no. They have high fructose corn syrup. Check any food that has high fructose corn syrup (and it will be alot) and reduce your intake of it. Also, it is better to eat fruit raw with the fiber intact than as a juice because a perfectly good fruit like apples is good raw but as a juice, loads the system with sugar because the fiber is not there slow down the absorption. Watch out for sugars and starches. You need sugar to be healthy but you dont need sugars that basically spike the system in short period of time. You need sugars that gives body sugar over long periods of time (oatmeal, apples, figs, pulses, kale, cabbage, oranges, berries, you know the healthy stuff). My two cents
