| I have pretty bad scoliosis (curved spine) and just recently I've become really insecure about it because I've realized one of my hip bones sticks out a LOT more than the other. Does yoga or pilates help this? I am done growing. Also, what yoga dvd's are the best? I don't have the time or money for classes and I just really want that lean perfect body that yoga women have. Thanks! |

| Yoga and pilates won't treat scoliosis but it will strengthen your core muscles and perhaps make your back feel better.I'd suggest that you see a good scoliosis specialist, have him evaluate your back, and make recommendations on what should be done.Chiropractors, message therapists, acupuncturists, etc., can't fix structural scoliosis. These people adjust the soft, connective tissues and that may (or may not, you can't tell ahead of time) make you feel better, but remember, structural scoliosis is not a connective tissue disease. Your spine is growing curved. |
