It's a diet pill that makes you very aware of what you are consuming. You will learn how many grams of fat are in your meal very quickly. The reason you become aware is that if you eat more than 10 grams of fat in one meal, and take your Alli pill, you will get diarrhea. And the more fat you consumed, the worse the diarrhea is. It can be uncontrollable..when you're at the gym, at school, at the checkout...so think about that before you take them. It's just like the ad claims...you need to commit to it. You have to eat a low fat diet, or suffer the consequences, so to speak...LOL

I've never taken it, but after looking at the reviews from customers I've concluded:1)it helps increase the amount of weight loss but you also have to watch what you eat and exercise2)about 70% of people were satisfied and 30% of people were not3)typical weight loss(if any)seems to be 1-2.5lbs per week.4)most people who weren't satisfied was because of the side effects associated-alli blocks the absorption of about 25% of fat, so when you eat it....its gotta go somewhere. you'll notice an oily substance(fat) in your stool-also gas seems to be a problem too-just because it blocks some of the fat you eat doesn't mean you can go crazy eating fatty foods. it appears people who pig out on fatty foods while taking it gets diarrhea http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000S9G6EM?ie=UTF8&tag=marartpla-20&l inkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000S9G6EM
