|
| Myself and two of my friends have started this lifestyle change. We've changed our eating habits and workout doing pilates and Taebo at least 6 days a week for about an hour each day. Is this a good idea and do you think I can lose about 60 pounds in 5 months? Thats my goal. Aslo is therre anything i can do to jumpstart the weight loss a little bit more. We've done it for a week and Ive lost 2 pounds but is it going to stay at 2 lbs a week? I want to lose at leaast 3-5 per week. Any ideas? |

| Two pounds a week is about the rate at which you should lose in order to KEEP it off. Any more than that is certainly do-able, but you would be very likely to gain it back and then some because in order to lose that much that quickly you'd have to cut so far back on calories you would be likely to revert back to old habits and gain gain gain. Keep up the good work and you'll find it gets easier and easier to stay on the fitness bandwagon.I've been doing the "Slim in 6" workout DVDs and it worked fantastic for me....lost 13 pounds in 6 weeks but saw an even bigger difference in the way my clothes fit and how I looked. Might want to give it a try. Also log on to caloriecount.about.com and use the free tools to calculate how many calories you should be eating in order to get to your goal. And it has a tracking tool to help you keep track each day as you go. Good Luck! |
