Which is better to be flexible and have a nice body? Is it hard? Which one do you perfer?I just have this urge to start doing Yoga or Pilates.Help, best answer will be chosen.Ps. I'm 17 yrs old, 5'8, 160 lbs

I do pilates! I love it, it's almost like yoga except its harder and burns a little calories!

Pilates are great. But so is yoga, if you do it right. I prefer yoga its more relaxing pilates are more intense i think. either way, your going to look great and get fit, both activitites are highly recommended for a good physique. you cant go wrong either one you choose, just be sure to add in some cardio. good luck.

Both are great. Yoga is a tad harder I think because a lot of the poses are done standing and I have a hard time balancing, lol! I like pilates becase most of the exercises are done on the floor but still challenging just less balancing issues for me. I would recommend you do both if you can't decide on one because it is best to mix up different kinds of workouts for maximum results depending on your fitness goals of course. One you plateau in a "routine" you don't see any results and have to change you workout to get the results you want. If you were to intermix pilates one day and yoga the next AND perform the moves in a different sequence every time it keeps your muscles guessing so you never really plateau. Hope this helps you!

My preference is yoga. Pilates takes many of it's moves from yoga. Yoga has helped me get in touch with my body. I've had great teachers who didn't just teach techniques, they taught us how wonderful our bodies were no matter what shape or size.
