hi buddiesI Have been doing leg curl, leg extension and leg press for my legs 4 sets each, once per week.one of my contacts whos a doctor too told me that leg exercises though helps building great muscles and strong tendons and ligaments, would one day bring me a surprise by permanently damaging my knee joints. To my surprise I have also started to feel a lot of pain in my knee joints. Is it ok to develop my oter body parts and skip my leg workout altogether.(he has also indicated that almost all of those olympia bodybuiders are faced with knee problem!

Do low-impact stuff for your lower body and keep it in shape. If done properly you shouldn't have any long term damage.

osteoarthritis is what your doctor friend is referring to - it's what gradually happens to a joint when it is used a lot - the cartilage wears down . A normal part of aging. Anyone over sixty would have it somewhere to some degree. However competitive sports people can wear their joints down sooner as well as placing extra stress on their ligaments and tendons.
