| How can I lose 40 lbs before June?I'm 18 years old.5'4 and currently weigh 150 lbs.I've limited myself to about 1200 calories from food a day. What I mostly need help with is the exercise. I have a hard time getting motivated and sticking to it.How much walking would I have to do per day/ how fast /how far?Are there any exercise videos you would recommend that would help me lose weight? Yoga / pilates / general workout videos? We may be getting a treadmill sometime next week. How long and how fast should I be running / walking on the treadmill?Does an incline on a treadmill give you 'bulky' legs? I'd prefer to just be thin and slightly toned. No major muscles.Again I'd like to lose 40 lbs before June of this year.Any other info is appreciated. |

| Rome was not build in a day, anyways you need to be realistic with your goals. On your frame, with your current stats you might be able to lose 15-20lb before then if you were doing strenuous exercise and your diet was perfect. In all reality you need to set yourself small incremental goals. Maybe you can lose 5 lb's a month, but you are too focused on something in that long term schema that's inevitablly going to make it impossible or you will give up out of frustration. You need to make sure your diet is in check... not fasting or calorie counting, but eating the right kinds of foods. Healthy whole foods, that have not been processed are good. Maybe you should start cooking for yourself if you are not. Try to make dishes that are as basic as possible... steamed veggies and chicken breast without salt. Minimize salt in your diet and you will quickly drop some water weight, but this is very hard to do. This whole plan of yours is going to take some serious self disclipline, so you better be in int for the long haul.Do some research on the internet, about cardiovascular exercise and healthy, clean dieting. Think the diet of a bodybuilder, but then cut that in half!! The foods that you put into you, as well as how often and in what portions determine our metabolism. Strenuous and consistent exercise will be the other determining factor. The answers are out there, most people just look in the wrong places!! |

| A realistic goal is losing 1 to 2 pounds a week to stay healthyThat means being realistic about your time frame. If you need to lose 25 pounds, figure you are embarking on at least a three-month program. Fifty pounds? Assume a time frame of at least six months. Aim to burn 500 to 1000 calories a day either by eating less, exercising more, or both.Start each day with a good healthy breakfast, eat healthy snacks in between meals so you are starving by the next meal. watch your portion sizes, know what a serving is, read labels on foods, buy a food scale to weigh your food.. drink water all day 8-8ounces glasses or more. Most important lose weight for yourself, you must make a commitment to yourself, and you will see results. At times you will lose at times you might gain a pound or two, but don't give up, you didn't gain the weight over night.Good luck you can do it. |

| I know it's possible to lose 10 pounds in ONE week. My friend took on the Reset Kit from USANA (bought it from another friend of his) and he lost 10 pounds from it along with exercise. The shakes make you lose the cravings...because they're meal replacements. It's a bit pricey, but hey, it WORKS.if you want, i could hook you up with it.here's the site: http://shop.usana.com/shop/jsp/onlineSer... |
