Not at all, plain (low sodium) rice cakes are like zero weight watchers points, and i have 2 every morning for breakfast with a little bit of peanut butter for protein to make me feel full and it does. try it its good for you.

No they are good, just dont eat to much. Me personally I cant buy them because I will eat the whole dang thing! Buy a big bag and seperate serving sizes into zip lock bags. Throw a bag in your purse along with a piece of fruit for when you leave out and only eat one per day or every other day. Wow, I just gave myself some advice!! Thanks me!!

Yes, because although they state a low calory count, they actually are a carb and therefore convert to sugar giving you a boast through your bloodstream as if you have had a spoonful of sugar. This boast is great at first, but unfortunately then your blood sugar level drops drastically and you feel more tired, more hungry than before you had the rice cake. In addition the sugar tells your body to store fat.All this is an effect on your body that is not captured in the calorie count. On top of this they contain chemicals, in the processing and preservates, and high salt, so you are just loading up your system with garbage. As l said they are considered a carb, so replace other carbs that could be better choices. {carbs are flour/rice/pasta etc.}So the rule of thumb is to limit your carbs during the day, to small limited amounts, focusing on protein with lots of fresh veggies and some fruit.I would highly recommend reaching for a fresh apple or orange, and a piece of cheese about 3 cm sq/apple. then if you want a plain Ritvia high fibre cracker, you will have a really nutrious and filling snack.if you have three healthy meals and three snacks a day you can be well fed, yet lose weight. I recommend a $10 book , The Zone...it is a lifestyle, so you can use it always and be completely happy and satisfied...stay away from rice cakes!
