I am looking for a good way to lose some weight, I of course would prefer to find something that would work some what quickly. I am needing to lose about 40 lbs. I am not used to carrying the extra weight and it is hitting my self-esteem hard. There is a big event I am going to in about 5 1/2 months so I would like to lose as much as possible prior to the event so I can go feeling good about me. I do not have money for the gym, but anything involving healthy food plans and exercises from home are great. Anyone with advice or things they have done that really worked well for them would be appreciated. If there is anyone else needing a weight loss buddy feel free to email me & we can work on this together, support systems always help. Thanks |

I had great success with Body for Life. It's a book by Bill Phillips, but you can get all the information for free off the website. (The book's really good though, so you may want to pick it up off of ebay.) The basic concept is just match your carbs with equal amounts of protein at every meal, and eliminate unhealthy carbs. But, the list of healthy carbs is way bigger in this diet than it is in others. It truly promotes balance IMO. I lost 45 lbs in about 6 months and never felt better. You also get a free day each week where you can eat whatever you want! Good luck to you!

what has worked for me:eating smaller portions, snacking (at least 5 times a day) instead of big meals (of course, healthy snacks!), parking the car far from the store in the parking lot; taking the stairs instead of the elevator. little changes like this help a lot!! if you start out small it is much easier to lose weight. it is just my opinion, but if you expect to much from yourself at the beginning, you will let yourself down and get discouraged when you can't do 60 minutes of jogging everyday or have some other ridiculous expectation. start small! good luck!!

I know of a great website called i Diet & Fitness. It's very inexpensive and they offer two different packages. One package is for those who only wish to Diet and the other package is for people who want Diet and Fitness rolled into one. I think what you're looking for is the Diet and Fitness package. The great thing about it is they no only give you a Diet plan to follow, they give you a Cleansing Diet and about 5 recipe books (including a Diabetic recipe book). Plus the fitness plans cater to beginners, people who just want to work out at home and for those who are looking for a challenge as well. My wife and I used them and with the Cleansing Diet alone, you can lose "up to" 20 pounds in less than 2 weeks. And I used their 8 week strength training program with incredible results. So I recommend you try them for your Diet and Fitness needs. Good luck to you and I hope this helps!

abs diet, the food is good, easy to make, eat and the exersices are easy but kick off a lot of fat. Theres a book you can buy that shows what exercises to do and what 'power foods' to eat(the last link might be most informative at a quick glance)Good luck!
