| I'm 19, 6'0, 175 pounds. Growing up in Brazil I was a really thin fit kid, I moved here and I was introduced to fast food, I quickly gained a lot of weight and was around 182 pounds in 8th grade. At the end of 9th grade I was around 210 pounds. After 9th grade I realized I needed a change and started playing a lot of sports and eating healthy, I went down to the weight of 130 by the end of 10th grade. The fat from my waist has always been there after being overweight for the first time, and it's never left, I've been to the gym and tried some different things. I have now gained a big of weight again but its a good weight for my size and age (175 pounds). I'd like to get in to a diet plan and focus on toning my body up. What do you guys recommend I eat and what exercises would you recommend I do to start seeing some changes happen about my love handles? Thanks for your help! |

| The biggest dietary change you should make to help trim up your midsection in the short term is watching your sodium intake. High amounts of salty foods are really going to create a bloated look, which will distend the stomach and make you carry excess water weight. Pelvic lifts(lying) are good. You lay down on your back and you put your legs in the air, straight up. Your back should still touch the ground, so only your legs in the air. When in this position raise your hip an inch or two and then lower it back to starting position.Try elbow-knee crunches, where you touch your knee with your elbow(for example, right elbow on left knee). After each crunch you switch arm and knee, so it's left, right, left all the time. |
