i injured my leg and am haveing surgey in a month, but becasue i have not been able to run and exersize, and because of the holiday season, i have gained some wieght i would like to take off,dose anyone have suggestion for looseing weight? easy diets i can stick to or a way i can boost my metabolism. i apreaciat any advice you have!thanks

One easy diet is just to decrease your portions by 25% or so ... once you have that down you can work in adding more fresh fruits & veggies and fiber/whole grains ... also limit the number of calorie-containing beverages you drink ... (8 oz of OJ has just about the same amount of sugar/calories as regular pop/soda, but water, Crystal Light, and diet pop have little to no calories) ... see what sorts of exercises you can do without your leg, like crunches, and other exercises ... stay as active as you can without hurting your leg.
