pshh theyre all problems... im 13 almost 14 and i feel like im overweight...well i am... by a lot... lets say more than 50 pounds. i would love to lose this extra weight. just so i can look better and more importantly feel better, feel happier, and be healthier. i do feel confident about myself, but i feel that if i lose my extra weight i can gain a whole lot more confidence. i dont have any plans on how to do this. i was wondering if anyone else was struggling or is struggling with this problem. how did you deal with it? what did you do about it? how did you stick to it? honestly i have practically no patience or will power, which makes it all the much harder. i would love to find a plan that i could stick to, something easy that i wouldnt get bored with, and something that i could see results with pretty quick. i know its only safe to lose 2-3 pounds a week so when i say pretty quick i mean losing that much... lol... one other goal i have is to go from a size 20 to a 14 (too much?)i really wish i could be healthier and feel confident... i would really appreciate it is someone could have a solution to my problem

I gained a lot of weight when I was a teen. I was drinking a LOT of soda, so I switched to diet soda, and started walking everyday. I also took a really good look at what I was eating-meatball subs! A LOT! ...and I decided that I would rather be able to buy cute clothes than junk food. In the beginning my motivation was the clothes, and guys; but as the weight came off I noticed that I felt a lot better, and my skin looked great. One thing I had to do was get out of the house as often as possible-my parents always had a lot of junk food around, and if I was just hanging out at home, I would start to eat. You know how that starts "one won't hurt" well, its never just one, is it. Something else you need to do is to find a physical activity you don't mind doing, like walking, and a few that you might love, like dancing, swimming, horseback riding, skating-just try to keep active. Don't starve yourself, but between meals try to stick to fruit and veggies. Find substitutes for the foods you really love-there are some cakes and things like weight watchers-I haven't tried them, but it might help you, if you can't completely break the dessert habit......you can do it Smile

You should go to the No S diet website. The rules of the diet are:No sweetsNo snacksNo secondsExcept for days that begin with S (Saturday, Sundays and Special Holidays). That means M-F, you eat 3 balanced meals a day and then on the weekends you can have the sweets. If you want to diet, you want a diet that you can maintain for life. You don't want to go on a diet then go back to normal eating after you lose the weight and gain it all back. When you cut out snacking, sweets, and seconds 5 days out of the week and enjoy them moderately on the weekend, you will lose weight BUT when you reach your bodies natural weight, you just keep eating the way you have been for the rest of your life. You are young so you don't want to go on any crazy diets. You want to be able to have a slice of pizza with your friends and family without blowing your diet. This plan will do that for you.The creator of the plan says that if you work on eating 3 meals a day and enjoy your weekends, you don't need willpower because it becomes habit instead. Also, I know it's hard, but work on your confidence now. Walking 30 minutes a day and working on bettering yourself can do wonders for your confidence. YOU CAN DO IT!Also, since you are only 13 going on 14, I would not low carb or do the Atkins diet. You are growing and you need a moderate portion of carbs to keep your brain and body balanced. IMHO.
