ok firstly eating junk is useless besides it being terrible for your body from the sounds of it if your having trouble gaining weight its ounds like your metabloism mite be fast so all the junk will do is burn a lot of energy which you want to use to build muscle.Ive got basic workouts people can do at home on my blog so it wont cost ya a thing in relation to buying equipment http://myfitmate.blogspot.com/Now to put on muscle/weight you have to consider things like your genetics, some people just have super fast metablosims just like those people that eat anything and never put on a pound! so if thats you then its difficult but not entirely impossible.Aim to increase the amount of protein in your diet (red meats ets) as well as carbs ( rice, pasta, white bread) each larger portions then normal (not too huge)As far as push ups doing anything, yes they do but why not change it up a bit by doing 2 arm push ups/ 1 arm push up or even push ups on an incline to hit different areas of the chest, push ups also work triceps, so another workout for those is simple (tricep dips) you can use stairs or something elevated.be handy find things around the house like food tins, buckets with water stones whatever I know it mite sound stupid but ask some of the greats who started with nothing. http://myfitmate.blogspot.com/good luck

Do not try to gain weight by eating junk. That will just make you fat. Try to eat a lot of good, lean protein--chicken, beans, lean beef and lamb are all good. I'm not a big fan of protein shakes, but I don't work out to get bigger, either. At 15, you are very likely a long way away from your full physical development, so your body needs protein, anyway, and if you are deliberately trying to build your muscles bigger, you will need that much more protein.Pushups are excellent, but they won't really make your muscles bigger. To do that, you need heavier weights. Does your school have a gym, and/or weigt lifting club you could join? Some commercial gyms also offer very good discounts to teenagers. Check around your area. You really aren't going to get enough information from a forum like this. Make this one of your main hobbies. There are many useful weight lifting books, but if you are completely new to this, you really need to find somebody knowledgeable to get you going. Lastly, I would recommend you focus more on general fitness and strength building, and not really worry about "getting big". Your body has a basic size that it is comfortable with. It is definitely possible to pack on more muscle, but beyond a certain point, that extra muscle is not useful at all, and is even dangerous. I've known a lot of smaller framed guys who went nuts in the gym and got really big and muscular and it led to them developing serious joint and skeletal problems in their late 30's and early 40's. Big, showy muscles do not make you tougher--really, the opposite, in fact. All that extra muscle sucks oxygen up and makes you gas quicker when you are in a real self-defense/competitive athletic/survival situation. Unless you have your heart set on being a competetive body builder, you should really workout for explosive power, and not really worry about getting bigger. Really tough guys--fighters, wrestlers, boxers, etcetera, do NOT lift weights to get bigger. Football players do to a degree, but that is a slightly different story, because there are situations in football where you really need the extra mass, even more so than the extra strength. But even smart football players tend to slim down when they retire. It's just not good for your skeleton to carry around tons of extra weight. Obvious if the excess weight is muscle, that's much better than fat. And building a certain amount of muscle is definitely very, very good for your overall health. But huge, bulky bodybuilders are definitely not the healthiest or toughest athletes around. The guy who posted above me made a good point about equipment (but a lousy point about white bread--nobody trying to get fit should eat anything but whole grains)--you really can improvise a lot of strength training equipment with heavy stuff you find lying around--rocks, sledge hammers. When I was about your age, I used to do a lot of workouts at home with five gallon buckets filled up with various levels of water.

man i know exactly how this feels. i was always known as the small skinny guy but what i did was insted of tryin to get mike tyson huge for boxing, i decided to get just a little bigger and REALLY tone. you can weight lift but dont go overboard. lift 2 days light, 2 days heavy, pushup all the time because pushups help build inner strength and makes ur arms bigger,. if you what to get bigger you can have a good protien diet like fishes, meats, eggs, milks, etc. also one thing i did for about 4 months was drink protein shakes, that worked really well and boosted the results.so dont get sad about it if u keep at it youll see results that will blow your mind, i have a after pic but not a before but u would be amazed at what hard work will get you, just dont cheat with steriods and dont go over board with the protein shakes. oh yeah try not to gain weight cause i think u just want muscle mass, weight lifting and shakes will help build muslce instead of fat, and try to stay away from the junk, i eat it to but u have to balance with healthy foods.
