Hey . I earned a Personal trainer Certification. But I'm waiting to earn a CSC certificate, plus by this time my associates degree will be finished, an A.S. in Health Fitness Nutrition, focusing as an "exercise Specialist." Please be honest, what salarys could I expect, with these credentials, but as a rookie mind you, working Solo, or under a gym....what would I earn hourly....What do you earn hourly...how many clients would I accumulate? where do you live? (city, state, if you dont mind) Thanks a bunch.

I am not familiar with a CSC certificate, if you are referring to a CSCS, you must possess a bachelor's or in your senior year of a 4 year college to pursue it.I've worked at 3 different gyms in Raleigh, NC, Wilmington, NC, and Champaign, IL. I was in charge of hiring new PTs, so I can answer some of your questions from experience. The only gym I've encountered that allowed an individual to work solo was in Wilmington. They require you to have a membership as well as pay high price rental fees. I started all personal trainers out at the same rate, unless you had many years of experience or a higher education. No offense, but I wouldn't consider an A.S. high enough to move you into a different pay bracket. I usually required a B.S. in kinesiology, exercise science, physiology, etc. or a C.S.C.S. to qualify for the bonus. Some advice, get your B.S. and then test from your C.S.C.S. and try to get a job as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level.Depending on the size of your gym and the amount of clients you train, I would expect to earn between 15-25 dollars an hour. Some gyms assign you clients to fit your workout specialties or start you out with a few, but most leave it to you to find your own. I hope this helps, feel free to email me if you have any further questions.ChrisM.S.,C.S.C.S.
