Im a fairly active mother of 3. I work fulltime and go to the gym as often as possible. I need to find some exercises for my legs that don't involve lunges or extention of the leg. I have had severe pain in my knees since a car accident in my late teens - I'm 34 now. My legs are really the one part of my body I feel I have no control over to train. I do leg press at the gym but other than that I am at a loss of what to do...any ideas. I have just had my 3rd child so still losing the weight from that but it is coming of steadily now so I'm happy with that. I go walking a lot but I find that hills are extremely painful. The evening following a walk with my kids its excruciating. My GP says I need to train the muscles in my legs - BUT HOW - is my question.

You need anti-inflammatories like OPC3-Calcium-Glucosatrin to get your joints under control may take about 90 days. Losing weight the proper way:Losing weight can be simple and also very complex it all has to do with the individual’s body composition and metabolism and nutritional intake or uptake for a base result. The best way to start any program for losing pounds or inches is to fist be sure you have a positive mind set for the LONG HAUL and goals with a support group in place to Help you when you have a falling out. Others in the same program are helpful. YOU WILL fall off the cart we all do just have a safety net in place OK ! Here we go!! 101 1. Write down every thing you put in your mouth for (2 days) prefer 1week. BE ACURATE or you will fail because you will setup a mind set that it is ok to cheat. How many carbs, - How many fats, - How much Candy, cookies, chips, breads, etc... How much liquids you drink, etc... THIS IS YOUR BASE LINE.2. STOP all soda, sweet drinks, DIET drinks, cut all sugars, No no CANDY no.3. Increase your water – 8oz with 1/2 fresh lemon in the morning before anything, Min. 64oz per day - always add water with every meal. Eat more slowly and Sometime this is hard because of time schedules.4. NO FAST FOODS none ever - starve first or drink water and crackers. The reason for this is because there are additives in many of the fast foods to cause A craving for more and this is what you need to avoid.5. NO FRIED FOODS. If you like Meats be sure you change to; ( Baked, Broiled, Steamed )6. FRESH FRUIT - eat with an open mind that there are higher sugars present.7. FRESH VEGGIES - go crazy enjoy eat your fill add to every meal every day, add Veggies to your snack ideas.8. Exercise - every day at a min. of 45 min. – walking is good 5000 –10,000 steps daily Running, use machines, jump rope, etc. 9. You will find that the weight will start coming off quickly at first, mostly water loss Then the true loss of pounds will start – Be Sure to EXERCISE now – This is Where many fail, because they want the firm look and they do not tone up the Muscles under the fat layer causing flabby look and a loss of muscle mass is Very Hard to Rebuild a lot of work so exercise as you lose.10. Use good nutritional supplements as you lose weight also this is to support your Muscle building features that are under way and you will not fatigue as easily causing Mental stress making you wants to quit and then fail.11. There will be a time when you will need some supplements to jump start your system After your body gets down to a certain level your metabolism stops and it may need a Boost to start losing again like - Carb. Blockers – Fat Bockers – CLA , or other Items and sometimes a radical change in your program for 1 week then back to losing again – To succeed you must EXERCISE while losing. If you need more information to answer your question click my avatar and email me.

I had knee pain for years before starting a weight lifting program. I mostly use dumb bells (10, 15, 20, & 25lbs) and have 10 sets that lasts a total of about 40 minutes. I really don't understand how this program corrected my knees, but it did. I have been pain free for over 3 years.
