Just wondering if anyone has tried the weight loss pill Alli? If so does it really work? I have been doing Weight Watchers but my wedding is in May. I have about 20 lbs that i want to lose.I had read the side effects and i was scared that the loose bowel movemoment was a major turn off. =)

Don't do pills to lose weight - stick with the Weight Wacthers diet - I've lost 90 pounds with WW and exercise

I haven't tried it but I know someone who did. She couldn't continue the use for long enough to see if it would work because it made her so sick. Plus she pooped her pants. I dont' know if I'd dare to take it. But, it does sound like a good plan to help change your eating habits. Good luck!

I've heard that it may work if you really limit your fat intake. If you take in too much fat, you may have the side effect of not being able to control you bowels (poop in the pants). However, it seems to me that if can control your fat intake, you wouldn't need Alli anyway. So - don't do IT !!!

Lol honey, a woman at my work has been doing the alli, and though it does work (so she says) you're going to have to wear diapers!!!SERIOUSLY!!!read up online about some of the side effects, they are so horrible... there are some super-funny horror stories too... about people waking up with leak-age (I know gross)It basically blocks your body from taking in more fat, so you excrete it instead. She said she had at least one accident a day while taking alli, and always had extra clothes with her. (She also explained that the leak-age looked very oily/greasy and was sometimes bright orange) She said it got so bad that she stopped taking it. She said she was horrified to even eat anything for she was afraid it had fat in it, it made the problem worse!!!I'm dead serious about this too, google horror stories about alli and see what pops up!!!Good luck and congrats on the wedding!!!

I heard that is just a waste of money, that taking it will just give you alot of gastrointestinal pain and problems. It sounds pretty scary. Try some CLA. It's a varied form of the essential fatty acid linoleic acid. It's used mainly as a supplement to reduce body fat. There are some studies that suggest it has cancer prevention properties too. It does work and rather quickly. I took it for 3 months, watched my diet and walked every day. In about 6 weeks I lost 15 pounds. You can get it at Walmart. It's fairly inexpensive. Take 1,000 mg 2-3 times a day.
