In exellent shape. I am a martial arts instructor and a personal fitness trainer, not fat at all and very athletic. But my husband and I want to have kids (three, back to back right after the other. for example, after I have my first child I want to get pregnant right away with the second, and so on) but IF I EAT LIKE I ALWAYS DO (which of course with my career is very nutritional and well-balanced) AND EXERCISE EVERY DAY A LOT will I still be fat and out of shape after I have my child? Please this is a big concern to me. Thanks a lot, and is there a concern with athletic and active women and pregnancy? Thanks a lot, God bless.

No you can lose the weight from the pregnancy but the weight of vanity will be a stone around your neck forever.

You're going to have some stomach after having the baby, but if you work out like you do now, it should go away quickly.

Calm down the pregnancy will leave a little bit of baby fat but you can work it off again. My sister was exactly the same she was toned and then she got pregnant. She was worried at first then she went back to her local gym and worked it off again. I find it quite silly to be honest. You will be fine don''t worry. When you have your child you can go to your local gym and work it off. It works do not worry.Kate x

If u r now in really good shape and u continue to take care of urself during ur pregnancy u should be fine. The healthy weight to gain during pregnancy is up to 35lbs.... and that's really not bad at all. Just remember to do exercise in moderation, and don't overdue urself. U may even want to ask ur doctor on what is healthy for u to do and what u should put off until the baby is born. God bless, Congrats, and Good Luck =)

It really depends on the hormonal balance in your body. Even if you do get fat, my guess is that with your daily routine, you will get back into shape very quickly.

You'll probably be in shape. But your stomache might have loose skin because it won't heal fully, if you have your kids back to back. It takes 5-7 months for a body to fully heal after a pregnancy. But it varies from person to person.

Keep up your exercise routine (slightly modified) for pregnancy and you'll be sure to bounce back quickly. Seek the advise of your doctor while pregnant.

If you have one kid you will likely lose the weight quickly. If you have 3 back to back you probably wont lose all the weight. Your body wont have time to recover properly between each one.I have 2 kids.I really think you will change your mind about having the other ones so soon after you go through having your first one.

DON'T stick to your normal diet. You're providing nutrition for more than just yourself. Be sensible and realistic about this, Hun, of COURSE you're going to have a bit of a belly afterward, if you eating more in able to provide for the baby. But trust me, I've seen plenty of women shift that baby fat. Once you're well after birth, just keep up your exercising and focus on places of significant gain and you'll be in shape soon enough.

during pregnancy, the doctor will monitor your weight gain...so please do not starve the child of needed nutrients (I know you would not sacrifice the health of your child over something so superficial as looking good while pregnant)But after the third child is born, then you can get back into shape and be tone...it will take some dedication, but you have shown through Martial Arts that you have this. Now here is the question.....Why three back to back? That is three kids in diapers at the same time basically...three in a car seat, three in strollers at the same time..I hope your husband is hands on!!!We spaced ours out a little...we have a 9 year old, 12 year old and 14 year old, and it was still a lot of work!Once you have more kids then hands, you better learn to be in two places at the same time!!

Usually if you are in good shape pre-pregnancy,after you have your baby you will not be "fat." I hope you arent expecting to have your body back the minute after you deliver, give it a few weeks,if you read the book "What to expect when expecting" it gives you good tips on losing pregnancy weight. You cant go right back to your normal workouts right after delivery, your body needs time to heal, there are exersizes you can do each week, and by 6 weeks with your doctors okay, you should be able to go back to regular workouts. As for having kids back to back, first of all after you deliver, you are given strict instructions to NOT have sex for 6 weeks, your body has just been through a lot vaginal delivery or cesarean, your body still needs time to heal itself,ESPECAILLY if you had stitches. You should allow yourself to lose some of the pregnancy weight before getting pregnant again, where do you think the pregnancy weight from the first pregnancy is going to go? It will just keep piling on,and you cant diet while your pregnant of course. But you should realize no matter how many babies you have,1 or 6 your body will never ever be the same.If you are a fitness trainer all of this should not be news to you,you should have knowlege about weight and exersize.

if you're in shape going into the pregnancy and don't gain too much extra weight (other than what is needed for the baby),then you should be fine. as long as you don't have a high risk preganancy, you should be able to work out while pregnant. i've seen pregnant ladies doing step classes while pregnant at my gym. of course, your doctor will decide the level of exercise you can do, so it would be ultimately up to him or her. breastfeeding also burns a ton of calories.
